How the Movie Tangled is a Good Personal Narrative

Ever since she was a baby, Rapunzel had grown up in a tower, locked away from the world. She lived with no one but Mother Gothel, her so-called mother, and Pascal, Rapunzel’s chameleon. Every day, Gothel would comb Rapunzel’s hair as the young girl would sing a song that would make Mother Gothel younger. Being locked up surprised Rapunzel as every time that she would ask to go outside, her request would be denied. The movie Tangled is about how Rapunzel discovered why Gothel kept her locked up. The question is whether or not the movie Tangled is a decent personal narrative for Rapunzel or not. The movie Tangled is a good personal narrative for Rapunzel because it tells about her life before meeting Flynn Rider and after meeting him.

First and foremost, the movie Tangled shows Rapunzel’s life before meeting Flynn Rider. The movie recounts Rapunzel’s life as a young girl and shows how she had a lonely, friendless childhood, with no companions except for Pascal, her pet chameleon. It also shows how the young princess loved and trusted Gothel like a real mother, for she had no idea about the truth. As Rapunzel grew up to be a teenager, her mindset changed. She always kept herself busy with some kind of work, whether it was painting or playing hide-and-go-seek with Pascal. The motion-picture also tells about how Rapunzel wanted to leave the tower and explore the world, but would always be stopped by Gothel. The old hag would always tell Rapunzel that “the outside world is a dangerous place” (Tangled). These conversations tell how Rapunzel felt as a teenager, stuck in the tower with her “mother.” Therefore, the movie Tangled tells about Rapunzel’s life before meeting Flynn Rider.

Furthermore, the movie Tangled tells about Rapunzel’s life after meeting Flynn Rider. It shows how her feelings change after meeting the young man. The movie also shows how the young princess started to become more caring, compared to the hard-headed teenager she used to be, after meeting Flynn. It also shows how Rapunzel started to learn about love, and how she became more affectionate than ever before. The movie also shows how the young girl started to understand her life in the tower, and how she figured out why she was there. The movie also shows how Rapunzel understood that Mother Gothel wasn’t her real mother. It shows the way Gothel acted when trying to dismiss the subject of being able to explore the outside world. The movie also shows how the young girl understood that she was the lost princess. The realization seen is unraveled in such a way, that is dramatic and surprises Rapunzel, especially since the thought of something like that has never occurred to her before. Hence, the movie Tangled also tells about Rapunzel’s life after meeting Flynn Rider.

An excellent personal narrative for the Disney character, Rapunzel, is the movie Tangled because it tells about the young princess’s life growing up and how it was different before and after meeting Flynn. The movie shows how Rapunzel’s life was different before meeting Flynn Rider because it shows her life as a child and a teenager. It also shows the young princess’ life after meeting Flynn Rider because it showed how Rapunzel’s feelings changed after meeting him, and how she started to understand her life in the tower, asking why. After realizing that she was the lost princess, Rapunzel fought her way out of the tower and was eventually reunited with her birth parents, happy to finally have a free and unrestricted life.
