There are many interesting things about New York. Here I can tell you some. Did you know that the abbreviation for New York is NY. Also, New York’s capital city is Albany. Many people live there and the population for the people is 19,651,127. By a coincidence there are 6 states bordering New York. There names are Vermont, Massachusetts, Coneticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island. Just like there are 6 states bordering New York, there are 4  bordering bodies of water. There names are Lake Ontario, Lake Erie,  Lake Chaplain, and the Atlantic Ocean.

Now that I have told you some interesting facts about New York, I will tell you some state symbols that stand for New York.The bird for New York is the Eastern Bluebird. Also the flower is the rose. The Sugar Maple is the tree. Also the famous insect is the Nine Spotted Lady Bug. The butterfly is the Red Spotted Purple or White Admiral butterfly. Finally, there song is called I Love New York.

There are many things to do there. There is the Empire state Building, Niagra Falls, the Statue of Liberty, Mount Marcy, the Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island, Gore Mountain Garnet, The Erie Canal, Hudson River, Mohawk River, and the Genesee River.

Lastly, I’ll tell some things about NewYork that I found interesting. There was a dinosoar fossil that was found in New York. This fossil was called the Coelophysis. Also the first American tournament was held in New York in 1843. That is a lot of information about New York.
