The Monster Under My Bed
No one believes me. They think I’m lying. But it’s really true, a big hairy monster lives under my bed and I can prove it. Last night, I slowly tip-toed to the light switch and turned the light off. Fortunately the monster didn’t grab me to death yet.
I tried to sleep but my eyes laid open. My stomach panicked and my brain shut off. I was dead tired but I couldn’t close my eyes, not even for a second. I thought the monster would come and eat me. My eyelids started to come down and I took three deep breaths in and then slowly breathed out. Then slowly last night I fell asleep.
The next morning I found clothes for school and put them on. My pants blue and my shirt pink. The whole day at school, my mind was still dead from a two hour sleep and I still was focused on the mystery about monster under my bed. I couldn’t stop it. When I came home I started on my homework quickly as possible so I could finish faster and get enough sleep tonight. Not like yesterday. After eating dinner, I went to bed again and I was still scared.
At night when I was asleep, Bang Bang Bang! I heard a knock at the door. Who was it? Who could it be?I looked at the clock to check the time and then the clock struck 12:00 at midnight. My heart pounded. My stomach had butterflies and it started to grumble. Uh oh! I got up and opened the door. I ran back and screamed because no one stood outside. Now panicked and tried to run to my parents room.
Unfortunately, a hand grabbed my leg sturdily and I fell and screamed. This big hand pulled me under the bed until my mom and dad came. They couldn’t find me so they went back to bed. This monster politely asked me my name as I replied Isabell. We became friends and the kind monster told me that she had always wanted to be friends with me. We shared all our opinions and from now on the monster would sleep under my bed.
My friend and I shared all our secrets and I didn’t tell my mom about the monster. We wore best friend bracelets so my mom asked me where I got it and I told her that my friend gave it to me, but I didn’t tell her anything more than that.
